On this mystical private tour of Galway and Connemara, we will explore the Bohemian capital of Ireland, Galway City, visit the magical island of Inis Mor, delve into the wilds of Clifden, a colourful town that sits on the edge of Connemara National Park and take a tour of Kylemore Abbey & Gardens.
Take the opportunity to experience exciting adventures from cycling on Inis Mor Island to kayaking on the wild Atlantic Ocean and leave you in little doubt of why Galway and Connemara has captured the hearts of many an explorer as they wander through this vast landscape of glistening lakes.
2:00 PM – Recommended departure time. Setting off early is always recommended, but this is a private tour, so you can leave when it suits you.

From Dublin’s fair city, we set our compasses due west, making our way through the lush midlands of Ireland in search of the wild Atlantic coastline and the Bohemian city of Ireland, Galway.
Take the opportunity to explore and wander its bustling streets, sample its famed culinary delights and traditional music scene.
Jump from mainland Ireland to one of its most renowned island, Inis Mór, meaning big island. It is the largest of three islands that make up the Aran Islands.
Once you arrive on its limestone shores, you can either explore the island by foot, bicycle or jaunting cart, in which you can experience the island’s magnificent landscape of rocky fields, wild Ocean views and incredible monuments of Christian, pre-Christian and Celtic mythological heritage. Take in a visit to one of the most famous of them, Dún Aonghasa, which is a breath-taking fort that was built on a high cliff some 100 metres above sea level.
That afternoon, make your way back to mainland Ireland before heading due west to the colourful coastal town of Clifden, where you can sample its famous culinary delights and traditional music nights.
Today’s adventure brings you to Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey. Explore these majestic destinations, full of colourful scenery and wonderful history.
In Connemara National Park, you have the opportunity to hike to the top Diamond Hill before heading to Kylemore Abbey for a bite to eat and time to explore its incredible history and unique gardens.
Later that afternoon, you journey along the shores of Killary harbour before turning eastwards through a wild mountain valley back to Galway. That evening, take the opportunity to explore more of this city’s vibrant atmosphere and exquisite cuisine.
The morning is yours to explore Galway City before taking returning to Ireland’s capital city, Dublin. You have the time to wander its bustling streets, hang out in some of Galway’s lively cafes, take in the wild Atlantic air on its waterfront or do some last minute souvenir shopping.
Departing at 2:00pm, you take the road back east, crossing the River Shannon on route to the fair city of Dublin. where your journey comes to an end. Returning to The Ashling Hotel, Parkgate Street, Arran Quay, Dublin 8 at 6:00 pm.
