I have special dietary requirements – will they be catered for?

We will try our very best to accommodate all dietary requirements. Please let us know at the time of booking of any food requirements or allergies and we’ll pass the information onto your Tour Leaders.

What will the food be like on my tour?

Food is one of the most exciting parts of travel. There may be some familiar dishes but you may encounter new and interesting culinary delights that for the adventurer may just be worth the risk. However, if you don’t like to take risks with your food then our flexible itineraries often allow you to eat with the group or explore on your own – this means you can eat to suit any budget or desire.

Can I drink the water in Ireland?

In most cases it is possible to drink the local water in Ireland. However, it is always wise to ask the premises that you are at if it is possible.

What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?

We recommend that guests bring a maximum of one suitcase each ( approx. 30” (75cm), max. 20 kg) and a piece of carry-on luggage such as a backpack which they can use on their day tour experiences to carry a jacket, camera, water and snacks, etc.

On all tours, we advise to pack as lightly as possible because you will be expected to carry your own bag and although you won’t be required to walk long distances with your luggage.

Smaller bags or backpacks with wheels are convenient although we recommend your bag has carry straps to accommodate the cobbled streets, uneven surfaces, stairs and steps you are lightly to encounter while carrying your luggage.

What clothing should I pack for one of your adventures?

You’ll need a day pack/bag to carry activity equipment, water and other personal items for each daily activity or excursion. You can find Mor Active Tours Travel Packing List on our website. It should be used as a guide only and isn’t intended to be a complete packing list.

Will refrigeration be available for medicines?

Availability of refrigeration cannot be guaranteed. As a general rule, many of our accommodation venues will provide access to small fridges. Please advise Wild ‘N’ Happy if you are travelling with medication that requires refrigeration.

What if I get ill or injured on the trip and unable to continue?

Our Tour Leaders are all trained First-Aiders and will endeavour to get you help as quickly as possible.  Your travel insurance, which is highly recommended on all our tours, should cover any costs incurred if illness occurs.

What vaccinations are recommended for entering Ireland?

There are currently no vaccinations that are required for entry into Ireland. However, we recommend that you seek appropriate advice from a qualified medical professional or a specialist from a Travel Health clinic.

What are optional activities? Where can I find details on optional activities?

Our tours always offer a bunch of exciting optional activities. When you arrive at each destination, your leader will brief you on your options and help you book them. If you are keen to plan ahead, the Trip Notes have a list of included and optional activities under each day in the itinerary. You’ll also find more options on the ground, which your Tour Leader will advise you of at the time.

Do I book and pay for optional activities now or during the trip?

You have the option of pre-booking optional activities or booking them on arrival at each destination. Taking the pre-booking option will in most cases guarantee you a place on the selected activity. In the case of not pre-booking we will try our best to accommodate you but we cannot guarantee there will be availability.

Can I opt out of certain activities if I want to?

There is absolutely no problem with that. If they are included or optional activities that you don’t wish to participate in, you can do your own thing instead. The exception to this is when we are travelling from one destination to the next. In this case you can travel with your Tour Leader in our vehicle. Please note that if you choose to opt out of an included activity, no reimbursement can be made by Wild ‘N’ Happy.
