    Custom Tours FAQs

    1. Will I meet or share experiences with other travellers on my custom tour experience?

    It’s up to you! Generally speaking, most custom tours will have a private tour status meaning that it is only your group that is experiencing this tour. However, if you prefer to meet others on tour, we are happy to design your custom tour experience around meeting other travellers on tours, such as a guided tour kayaking, cycling, hiking or cultural tour. You just let us know your preference and we will make it happen. 

    2. Do I need to pay extra when requesting a custom tour?

    It depends on the destination and experiences that you wish to book. We have plenty of custom private tours and plenty of tours that can be requested to be private, so be sure to double-check which category your tour falls under. Don’t worry, if you’re unsure you can always contact one of our travel experts and they will let you know the exact cost. It’s important to note that a custom tour price will also vary greatly depending on the destination you choose, and whether or not you choose to upgrade your accommodation.

    3. How do custom tours compare to a typical group tour?

    The main difference is you will have a customised tour experience with an itinerary that has been tailored to suit your needs. On one of our group tour experiences, you travel with like-minded people who you’ve never met with a set itinerary that cannot be changed.

    4. Will there be a guide on my custom tour?

    Yes, you will have your own private driver guide who will be qualified and knowledgeable. They will  provide you with exclusive insights into the best place to go, what to experience and daily lives of the locals. 

    On some tour excursions, your guide may not be with you all of the time and expect to have a local guide during specific experiences like walking, cycling, kayaking or cultural and historical tours. 

    5. Can I book a custom tour at the last-minute?

    Yes, we believe in spontaneity so that is why we provide you with complete flexibility and freedom to customise your tour experience with your preferred accommodation style, add extra nights or try new and unique experiences in your destination of choice. 

    6. How much can I change about a custom tour?

    It depends on your selected destination and tour experiences. Depending on availability, you should be able to add extra nights, upgrade your accommodation and change your start date. You can also choose to add or replace any optional experiences to suit your requirements.

    7. I like some of the destinations from one of your normal tour itineraries, but also some of those from another itinerary! Can I mix and match destinations from different itineraries?

    Yes, no problem. We will advise you on what is logistically possible and try our best to make it happen for you. Please contact us with your requests.

    8. What is the difference between the Budget, Classic and Luxury accommodations?

    1. Budget – Our Budget Tour Style lets you experience your destination at a great price. We use hostel accommodation that is clean, centrally located and has a unique atmosphere that allows you to relax and enjoy the very best of where you are exploring.

    2. Classic – Our Classic Tour Style offers you a Lodge/B&B (Bed & Breakfast) experience. All our venues are welcoming, centrally located and have a warm friendly atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.

    3. Luxury – Our Luxury Tour Style provides you with the opportunity to experience 4 Star Guest Houses/Hotel that offers fantastic comfort and is centrally located in whichever destination you are exploring.
